Outdoor Gear

Expect that your child (and their clothing) will get dirty! If at any time your child’s clothing becomes wet and uncomfortable, we will assist them in changing into their extra set of clothes. When we head outdoors, we will help your child change into boots (if necessary). Please provide appropriate footwear for any weather to ensure your child can freely explore.

Children need comfortable, protective shoes with gripping soles for running, jumping, and climbing. Sneakers or well-fitting hiking boots are best. Your child will need rain boots for wet and rainy days.

All students should have a change of clothing in their backpack, including socks and underwear. Please include a wet bag and check your child’s bag everyday for clothing that needs to be washed/dried/replaced.

We require waterproof boots and children dressed for the weather. Our goal in all weather is to keep the children dry and comfortable.

BOOTS: We strongly recommend Bogs OR a type of neoprene pull on boot with no ties, zippers or Velcro. Be sure to check the temperature rating and that these boots can be worn all year.
